Mikael Forssell is a journo's dream.
He always has time to speak, his views on the game and life in general are articulate and
thought-provoking.
He's not a bad player either.
Most people will wish him the very best as he seeks to bring to a close a rotten couple of years
during which there has been more interest in the state of his knees than what he could do on the field.
With Alex McLeish in charge - a big Forssell fan - he is hoping that he will enjoy a regular stint in the team and more chances will be created and fall his way.
Given the ball in the right areas, as his header against Villa testified, then he does know how to
despatch it into the back of the net.
I don't think I've known anyone as demonic in their determination to train and do everything they
possibly can to be in tip-top shape.
So you do kind of pull for Forssell, one of football's decent guys, to come good.
Mind, he does keep a dark secret hidden, known only to those he has shared a dressing room
with.
Mikael is . . . . a secret ginger
Look at pictures of his earlier in his career and you will see him resplendent with a carrot-top.
You would have thought now McLeish is at Blues Forssell would halt the peroxide dye and proudly 'out' himself.

I've always thought that Forsell looked more like one of the undead , so it's good to know that he is human after all .
