I read today, with some dismay, that those blaggards from White Hart Lane are considering taking over Wembley Stadium for key games if they redevelop their own stadium.
The plan would be to groundshare at, say Upton Park, and play the likes of Man United,
Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool at Wembley - which would cost a lot to rent, but the near 90,000 attendances would more than make it worthwhile.
I've got three points to make here.
Firstly, Wembley should never be used for anything other than play-off finals, England games and FA and League Cup Finals.
Secondly, those ten year corporate tickets have made the sacred stadium a laughing stock with empty seats at key games, and worse still, folk returning to their seats well after the second half has restarted.
Anyway, back to my thread.... thirdly, and my main point... if Tottenham can but contemplate using Wembley for matches....wait for it....why not Villa?
That may sound daft. And I know it is a massive outsider, but we are in an age where American football teams are playing key games at Wembley to spread the gridiron gospel.
I'm not suggesting Villa play United in London, although that may help them break their home hoodoo.
No, I'm suggesting two games a season - the derby against Blues.
Just imagine: 90,000 fans paying affordable prices - say £20-£30 a ticket.
Both clubs to split the profits and the costs of the games down the middle. Thousands of extra police on duty to make the game somewhat safer.
Special coaches and trains....Heck, we might even get a 3pm kick-off?! I know it's far-fetched, but why not?
God knows Sunday's derby will see both clubs in the dock should any fan put one foot out of line.
And if not Villa and Blues, just keep Tottenham out. It just appears to me that the rich London clubs get different rules.

Bill, you been on the Banks's again?
Villa at Wembley - are you kidding?! The last time they were there, they stank the place out. No way would they be allowed to besmirch a national institution again in such way. It was like watching Gregory dye his hair: absorbing - not!
