CRITICISM is often flung at Royal Mail, sometimes with good reason.
But the efforts of postman Pete Armitage illustrate just what a cracking service they frequently provide.
Postman Pete turned detective when a letter arrived from Australia addressed: "Roy Ashby, brilliant violinist in a village close to Tamworth, England."
Less determined posties might have been tempted to send the puzzling missive back, but Pete is not like that.
He spoke to a local music shop and tracked down Mr Ashby, who was delighted to receive correspondence from an old friend Down Under.
Pete, you are a star.
