FEW tears will be shed for the seven thugs who have been jailed for their involvement with dog fighting in Birmingham.
Indeed, many people will think the four and six month sentences should have been a whole lot longer.
Their offences were unspeakably cruel and their guilt was only compounded by the loathsome, insulting behaviour of some of the defendants as they swaggered in and out of courts.
Let these jail terms act as a deterrent to any who thinks it is acceptable to inflict pain on another creature.
