Lunch - a ham, if I may use this term, batch

Lunch: Warwickshire 225 for 7. Loudon 54, Thomas 6.

Warwickshire continue to pile on the pressure. They now lead by 20 runs. Over lunch, Tim Ambrose is pondering when to declare.

Lancashire started to look distinctly ragged towards the end of the morning session. Heads began to drop, not least when Thomas clipped a single to fine-leg to take the lead to a commanding 15.

Anna Rack:

Warwickshire once bowled out Hampshire for 15. But they still lost.

Toast Rack:

Mark Greatbatch is the only player ever to score 28 in both innings of his debut in first-class cricket.

Letter Rack:

Dear Brian,

Spookily, Greatbatch's average in 84 one-day internationals for New Zealand was 28.28.

Tie Rack:

If Warwickshire are all out for 300, and Alphonso rattles through Lancashire to dismiss them for 95, that would be quite exciting.

Thai Rack:

Maybe Warwickshire could sign some players from Bangkok.

on the rack:

I didn't think the fans at the forum were tough enough. It should have been made absolute torture for the management.

Darren Wrack:

Let's hope Walsall don't give you another relegation to cover, Brian.

Hat Stand:

My cousin's a tie rack.

Anna Rack again:

28 wasn't a very good number for Mark Greatbatch. In his 28th Test match, New Zealand were flattened by an innings and 222 runs by Australia, which was an even bigger margin of defeat than that suffered by Warwickshire at Scarborough.

Insidet Rack:

Mark Greatbatch got 28 bruises during his stint at short-leg at Hove.

brian:

I bet the seagulls got him 28 times too.
