Alphonso climbs the pavilion steps

Chapple delivers a ball which is simply too good for Thomas who falls lbw for 15.

As Thomas trudges away, Loudon contemplates at the non-striker's end. A penny for his thoughts.
Are they a) shame we'll be playing at the likes of Derby and Cardiff next season or b) at the end of this season I'll be out of this club faster than Jesse Owens out of Berlin in 1936?

Warwickshire 252 for 8. Loudon 66, Carter 6.

Warley B:

Suzy was lying in Berlin (as the 1950’s cold war saga’s go – and it is a bit of a cold s war at Edgbaston at the moment)– so is Loudon a bowler who can bat or a batter who can bowl a bit ?….. as Mr CP might say ;-)

When does the clear out start ?………… Tonight ?

I see Maddy played for England today…! Rejoice !.

Mr Povey arranged that Double relegation party yet ? £ 15 each or a very reasonable £ 30 for members.

Thank goodness your humour Brian has lifted my spirits during this unfolding debacle !

brian:

Cheers, Warley B. And, as this blog heads for its winter hibernation, cheers to all. Believe me the humour and generosity of spirit of the Bears supporters has kept me going through this sad, sodden season.

A C Gull:

Missing you already.

Jane Hyatt:

Brian you are as always a gent. We have really appreciated this Blog, thank you for a season of humour to help ease the dissapointing goings on, on and off the field.
Please don't hang up your boots we may have another charity fund raiser, if your back is not up to it perhaps you could umpire or coach a team.
