The day began with us wondering whether Westwood and Sangakkara would displace Lara and Piper from the record books. Instead, Anyon and Daggett have displaced Piper and Donald.
Piper and Donald's hitherto tenth-wicket record for the Bears v Durham (55) has just been eclipsed by the former Lancashire pair. They have so far added 56.
411 for 9. Anyon 28, Daggett 27. 176 ahead - 41 overs left. What a strange old beast of a game this cricket is.

Sounds like Warwickshire could win this if they hold out long enough so Durham have to chase quick runs.

Daggett's already made his high score - over doubled it in fact. Anyon may be at risk of increasing his own, at this rate...

As I have missed all the away games we have booked Old Trafford Lodge, room over looking pitch. Hope we have survived the drop. By the way its a bargain £69 inc parking ground ticket and balcony over looking pitch. So if you want a cuppa Brian and George you know where we are.

I was touching wood - or the nearest equivalent.

We should draw from here, right?

192 from 36. A fairly stiff, but far from impossible, one-day target.
I'd say 70/30 a Durham win. The Bears still have to bowl and field very well to save this one.

No fielding or bowling restrictions though - given the way we've been playing Pro40, that at least gives me a modicum of confidence.

A concern for Warwickshire is the very short boundary on the Lumley Castle side. If Paul Harris and Jimmy Anyon can clear it seven times, Durham's batters might fancy their chances too.
