OKAY, we may never see Bruce Willis or Julia Roberts sauntering through the Bullring in their Ray Bans.
The word "Brummiewood" will probably never be spelled out in giant letters alongside the M6.
But the idea that Birmingham should get its own film studio is an appealing one.
The city has lacked studio space since the closure of the BBC's Pebble Mill studio and the downsizing of Central's headquarters.
So film-makers producing work here have to travel far and wide for suitable space.
That cannot be right for a city the size of Birmingham.
We wish Screen West Midlands well as they seek to bring Brum its very own film studio.
Let it roll.
