WITH the sun shining these past few days, where better to relax than on the beach?
Timely, then, that 65 tonnes of sand have arrived at the Bullring to create the first of this city's first two temporary beaches.
OK, Birmingham might be about as far away as it's possible to get from the sea.
But when sun-worshippers find the rays too fierce, they can easily pop for a coffee, a pint or a little bit of retail therapy.
And for Birmingham folk this summer a day at the beach need no longer involve a frustrating, environmentally-damaging journey along traffic-choked motorways.
It promises to be happy summer here in Brum.
