Rain now falling heavily, water gathering on the covers, still no official announcement, players must be taking lunch. A loan seagull pecking the outfield. No crows visible.
To say prospects of play are remote would be the biggest under-statement since Emperor Hirohito told his people, after the Japanese surrender in 1945.
"There has been a development in the war situation - not necessarily to Japan's advantage."

Nice to see the Birmingham Mail's cricket writer earning his corn amid the showers.
One question though, where this seagull on 'loan' from?

Nice to know that the weather is following the Bears for the oval to home. As for the Emperor of Japan he never wanted the war in the first place, and Hiroshima's loss had a negligible effect of Japan's ability to actually fight seeing as it was a minor logistical and operational base. Still hopefully play tomorrow and the bears can win in three days by an innings.

I'm still concerned at this 'loan' seagull.
As the transfer window is supposedly shut, is this another Carlos Tevez-style breach of the rules?
Explain yourself Mr Halford.

Was it an Argentian or an African seagull (and could it carry a coconut?)
