Lunch has occurred but there was no inspection as slight drizzle has set in again.
The prospects of play remain remote. Warwickshire will hope that, if they do sustain a serious bid for the county championship title, they don't count the cost of all this lost time later on.

Surely the time has come for indoor cricket?

Good idea, How about buiding a new indoor cricket centre in the county town. It could be incoporated with Racing Club FC's new stadium!

Or when they doing up the pavilion end why not put a retractable roof on Edgbaston?

I like the idea of the Bears having a base in the county town. Or even Wellesbourne where, of course, Warwickshire CCC has its origins.
Sadly, I fear Racing Club's new stadium just isn't going to happen - much to the disappointment of their loyal knot of supporters.

That's bad news, a new stadium is badly needed.
Still it's brightening up over Bill's mothers, those covers will soon be off.

It is bad news. A new stadium is badly needed. Some sort of merger between Racing Club and the Bears might have some mileage. Put it to Colin Povey.
