WELCOME home!
Easter is a special time but will be extra special for the 15 sailors who have been freed after nearly a fortnight in captivity in Iran.
Common sense and goodwill prevailed when Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced unexpectedly that they would be released.
The relationship between Britain and Iran, even before the mariners were seized, was strained, but let us hope that this gesture from the Iranian government marks a turning point.
Matters such as Iran's nuclear programme and its involvement in neighbouring Iraq will be thornier issues to resolve.
But, as the sailors arrive back in Britain to spend Easter with their loved ones, we can hope that their release marks the beginning of a thaw.
