HOW good to see speedway back in Birmingham.
There was a party atmosphere last night as more than 5,000 people poured into the Perry Barr stadium to see it stage speedway for the first time in 23 years.
We wish the riders, organisers and supporters every success as the season cranks into gear.
This great new addition to Birmingham's sports and leisure scene will be a winner, we are sure.

A wonderful night at Perry Barr last Wednesday when speedway came back to Birmingham after a 21 year battle. The new track stood up well to its first test, and in spite of the intense cold, the big crowd all enjoyed themselves.
