DON'T you feel proud to be a Brummie this weekend as Europe's eyes focus on the sparkling athletics event taking place at the NIA?
Not too many years ago Birmingham was the butt of many people's jokes, known mainly for its metal-bashing, bleak 1960s architecture and impenetrable road system.
How things have changed thanks to the efforts of successive generations of councillors, officials and business people.
Our city now boasts international venues such as the NIA, top class hotels, classy bars, marvellous restaurants and stylish shops.
The result is that we now host events such as the European Indoor Athletics Championships, which has attracted world-renowned sports stars, massive crowds and Europe's media.
Visitors will be spending an estimated £6 million over the three days of the tournament, an event that will raise Brum's profile considerably.
Let's make sure those spending time in our city get a big Brummie welcome so they return home to tell their friends what a great place it is.
This weekend provides another great platform for Birmingham to promote itself.
Success breeds success.

Such an inspiration. I currently have some issues with my enterprise and these days was not an easy day to obtain by way of it but at the end of this day time I'm truly glad I've examine this story. Every as soon as inside a though when I need motivation I just arrive here and read new and old stuff and that keeps me heading forward.

This cold brief review can make it's exasperation show itself. This kind of remark careens in short order straight to pet peeves which may have nada related to the piece of writing, putting attention alternatively on generalizations regarding gals, contests, bicyclists, and an ethnicity referred to by having an adjective put to use like a noun. A particular coded offending outburst is added in, followed straightaway by accusations of a “race card” currently being played.
