ONE thing is certain about Birmingham's latest school admission policies - some parents will be disappointed when places are allocated.
Education chief Coun Les Lawrence and his colleagues have tried hard to ensure that a fair and easy-to-understand system is in place.
But most parents recognise good schools from not-so-good ones and want the best for their children.
And, of course, all schools have a limited number of places so some will inevitably be let down.
The answer is to make all Brum's schools excellent - hard, but the only way to ensure all mums and dads are happy when those letters fall through letter-boxes.
